LABORATORIES
Our work is carried out in two organic synthesis laboratories of about 1200 sq. ft. each. Both have a large amount of hood space and standard equipment for organic synthesis, including apparatus for medium pressure hydrogenations, high pressure reactions, and automated flash chromatography. One laboratory is designed for large-scale benchtop reactions (up to 22 liters) for research and synthesis of process intermediates.
Our facilities are equipped with standard analytical instrumentation required for organic synthesis (low-field NMR, HPLC, GC, IR, UV-Vis, , etc.) Additional services (MS, high field NMR, x-ray) are locally accessible.
PERSONNEL
OCI currently employs six experienced individuals (Five with PhD degrees and one with a BS degree). Collectively, we have published nearly 100 journal articles. Included among these are the total synthesis of acorone, uleine, and several 2-acyl indole alkaloids. We have been co-inventors or sole inventors on numerous patents.
All employees contribute to the work on every aspect of problems from the design of pathways through the actual preparative chemistry to assembling reports requested by our clients.
REGULATORY
OCI maintains a research license for Schedule II and III controlled substances. We have over twenty years of continuous experience working with these compounds.
OCI complies with all regulations set by local, state, and federal agencies.
DATA ARCHIVAL
Since the inception of the company, we have and continue to maintain hard and electronic copies of documentation for any and all work.
